There is nothing sad or shameful about being a teenage girl with normal sexual urges. There is nothing sad or shameful about expressing those desires and acting on them in a safe and healthy manner.

What is truly sad is that you would hijack this post, a tribute to a hero for women’s rights, to spew sexism and misogyny. 

The men who are keeping Malala and her classmates from attending school and getting an education are the same men who believe that women need to stand in line, take orders from men, and refrain from ever exercising sexual agency. They are the same men who rape and beat and kill women who act on their sexual agency in ways that they deem inappropriate.

You, by attacking young women who choose to express their sexuality, are standing on the side of those men.

Think about that.

Think about the fact that you’re implying that any girl who wants to “suck cock” or “lick clit” is somehow sad or pathetic or deserving of disrespect. 

There are millions of fifteen-year-old American girls who are brilliant academics and artists and athletes and wonderful, caring people. They are more than their sexual urges. They are more than their bodies. They don’t care what you think about what they choose to do with their bodies.

Your shameful, sexist, misogynistic thinking is exactly the sort of dangerous demagoguery that shut down Malala’s school in the first place.

Shame on you.
